The new victim classes--Shiksas and Nazis
Hypocrisy thy name is the Canadian Jewish Congress. The CJC is in a lather because the Toronto Police Services Board listed "non-jewish shikse" as a new category of victim group. Shiksa is a pejorative term for gentile women. We had fun with that in my earlier post.
I speculated that the CJC was up in arms over the emergent Shiksa Rights Movement simply because it was an embarassment to the Jewish Community and could in fact turn the CJC's beloved hate crime laws against the community itself. This prospect must absolutely horrify the CJC given their status as Canada's premier cheerleader for our ludicrous hate speech laws such as Section 13 (1). Now I know I'm right.
Today we learn that the Toronto Police Services Board have evidently also included "Pedophiles" as a new victim group in their latest report, which is not yet public, according to this article in the National Post.
Now Joseph Brean at the National Post has the story.
The Canadian Jewish Congress says the Toronto Police Service is pushing anti-hate law "to its most absurd level" by listing "non-Jewish Shiksa" as a victim category in its latest hate crime study.
The statistical report reveals that officers investigated hate crimes in Toronto last year against such unusual victim groups as teachers, feminists, infidels, police, Nazis and pedophiles.
But it is the redundantly named category of "non-Jewish Shiksa" -- a slur for a non-Jewish woman, from a Hebrew root meaning "a detested thing" -- that has especially baffled the CJC, a prominent advocate for stronger hate crime laws.
"You just can't apply it to literally everything," said CEO Bernie Farber.
Scaramouche adds a sobering thought:
Update: All joking aside, the inclusion of "Nazi" and "shiksa" as "victim groups" is actually an immense slap in Jews' face. "Victim group" doctrine holds that victims cannot--can never--be victimizers (the flip side of Bernie's observation that Nazis can only be victimizers, not victims). But now, of all the victim groups, Jews have been singled out as the exception to this rule (for who is likely to be "victimizing" "Nazis" and "shiksas" if it isn't the Jews?). It is extremely revealing--and more than a little unsettling--that, for example, "honkeys," "gringos" and "kafirs"--perjoratives used by other "victim" groups--did not (and, I have no doubt, never will) make the police list.
As a honkey infidel kafir gringo shiksa chick I object. And why aren't yankees included?
As Ezra Levant points out, the Canadian Jewish Congress could be looking at the real threats to Jews instead of getting hoisted on their own censorious petard:
Iran is building a nuclear bomb.
Hezbollah is rearming with long-range missiles from North Korea.
The United Nations is as brutally anti-Israel as ever with the largest bloc now being the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
Boycott and divestment campaigns are on a tear in Europe, and the British advertising standards council has barred Israel from using images of the Western Wall in tourism ads. Canada's postal union has condemned a stamp celebrating Canada-Israel relations.
Labour unions and left wing churches regularly pass anti-Israel motions. University faculties refuse to meet their Israeli colleagues.
In North America, even in Canada, some university campuses are no-go zones for kids with yarmulkes.
But the Canadian Jewish Congress is in their situation room fighting back against... the Toronto police decision to list "shiksas" as a "victim group". That's muscling in on Bernie "Burny" Farber's turf, and he won't stand for it! Only Bernie can play the victim card! Time to fight!
