Is "Death to the Jews!" okay if it's in Arabic?

Ezra Levant has been writing about the hate marches in Calgary's Jewish neighborhood, noting that this isn't the first time this has happened, and nothing was done. He writes:

There were terrorist flags flown then, too; Jews were called Nazis then too; Arabic chants of "death to the Jews" were made then, too. It being downtown, some of the hate marchers tried to storm the federal government offices at the Harry Hays Building, and got into a shoving match with police.

Here is the Calgary Herald's contemporaneous report of the event.

Was a human rights complaint filed? Don't be ridiculous. Any criminal charges at all -- including trespass or assaulting a police officer? Of course not.

He adds:

By the way, Lynch and her Ontario analog, Barbara Hall, keep lecturing us about how they're all that stands between Canada and hateful violence. That's why they both have to keep picking on dangerous threats like Fr. Alphonse de Valk and Rev. Stephen Boissoin. You know, threats to public safety.

Maybe if Fr. De Valk translated all of Catholic Insight's articles into Latin they would be left alone. Of course we can't forget Ezra Levant himself and Mark Steyn, who also faced persecution by these bodies. Remember a dismissal does not mean someone hasn't faced the punishment of the process.

But even in English, none of these people have ever even came near the spectrum that contains the hatred now seen parading with impunity on the streets of Canada's major cities.

Real hatred is in our midst, and the bodies that were given draconian powers to nip this kind of thing in the bud are shown to be worse than irrelevant. They are part of the problem. They have been used to persecute and punish the very people who are the true friends of the Jewish people in Canada.

Oh yeah, they have gone after some basement Nazis. But methinks we have some classic displacement and misdirection at work, something Dr. Sanity would have a field day diagnosing.

One can get on a high horse fighting odious but mostly harmless cranks who pose little or no threat, as a substitute for having the courage to face the present-day threats not only against Jews, but against moderate Muslims and all of the West.

Kinda reminds me of the guy who kicks his own dog as a way of retaliating against the boss who insulted him at work. The boss could take away his livelihood. The dog is helpless to fight back.
