Deborah Gyapong: Don't stop blogging, Howard!

Don't stop blogging, Howard!

Unfortunately, I agree with Howard Rotberg, who writes:

Thanks to the moral cesspool of the Leftist-Tolerists and their lust for Islamist terrorists, we stand on the cusp of returning to state-sanctioned anti-Semitism.

But just as the Judge in my case said there was something that I did (which he couldn't actually describe) that justified me being called a "fucking Jew", so too there is supposedly something that Israel has done that now, according to the journalists and the professors, the union leaders and the disaffected leftists, that results in the Jews deserving the incidents described above.

Every 2-bit "alternative" tabloid now takes it as a given and as an unexamined starting point for their articles that Israel is Jimmy Carter's "apartheid state" and that Hamas' allegations of Israeli war crimes should be believed.

Along with state sanctioned anti-Semitism, we also have state sanctioned anti-Christian persecution thanks to the mindset behind the so-called human rights commissions. And the biggest untold story of recent years is the worldwide persecution of Christians, not only in Muslim lands, but elsewhere in the world. But, like Howard says above, just as the Jews are blamed for getting what's coming to them, it's considered a non-story because the Christians got what was coming to them for "trying to convert people" by their wonderful example of feeding the poor and helping disaster victims regardless of their religion. Just as flying an Israeli flag is deemed a provocation, so soon perhaps will a crucifix worn around the neck.

Kathy Shaidle reports Howard is going to stop blogging soon. He's giving up. She also has a link to the history of Howard's case.

Don't give up, Howard! It is not yet too late to turn this ship around. But your fellow Jews and my fellow Christians need to wake up to the increasingly hostile environment we find ourselves in.

Paul Marshall writes:

Those who desire to control Christians desire to control everything. Just as anti-Semitism, even apart from its own inherent evil, is a reliable indicator of the growth of other forms of repression in society, so Christians now function as the canary in the mine shaft: When they collapse, other deaths are sure to follow. In the same way, those who ignore the plight of Christians throughout the world bear an awkward resemblance to those who turned a blind eye to the persecution of the Jews throughout this century. If we are concerned about human rights of any kind, we need to pay attention to Christians — who they are, how they live, why they suffer.
