Although I've chosen to have daycare, at least part-time, I've also done the research about kids who have a stay at home parent, and those who are latch-key kids. Frankly, those moms (or dads) who stay at home with their kids are making a very real sacrifice, in order to give their children the best upbringing, one that isn't measured quantifiably in goods. The Liberal plan, while it may have good intentions, does not reward those parents who are making such sacrifices for the sake of the public good -- and from what I've read, the public is better served with more children having a touchstone with a parent at home.
